London Riverside by Bike Tour
Join us for a bike ride along River Thames enjoy the spectacular views and discover the history or Shad Thames, ship building in Deptford, the story of Thames Tunnel at Rotherhithe and Greenwich . Learn about the development of Docklands and hear Pirate sorties at Wapping. and have real feel of the size of the Docks in the Georgian and Victorian era.
We will be cycling at leisurely pace so we can enjoy breathtaking views of the river and the buildings that tell the colourful stories of people who have travelled, discovered the world, and traded exotic goods. We will stop and explore interesting historical places along the way.
The bike ride is about 18 miles/28km we will be starting at the Southbank , cycle to Greenwich and Canary Wharf and returning to the South Bank. Most of the route is on relatively quiet roads.
We will stop for lunch at Greenwich. You can either bring some snacks or get something at the market.
At some places you might need to pick up and carry your bike for a few steps.
