Harnham Hill, Britford and Salisbury Cathedral

Join us on this lovely circular walk around Salisbury to celebrate the cathedral’s 800th anniversary!

About this Event

We will climb up Harnham hill and see the wonderful view to Salisbury and to its cathedral then follow the path of River Avon. We will stop at Britford Village by St. Peter church where Henry Stafford, 2nd Duke of Buckingham is buried. He was one of the main suspects in the probable murder of the princes in the tower.

We continue our walk to Salisbury with a guided walk in this wonderful city and an optional visit to the cathedral, where one of the surviving copies of Magna Carta can be seen.

There is also a wonderful contemporary exhibition of 20 iconic statues by artists such as Henry Moore and Grayson Perry.

What to bring: hiking shoes, snacks and water, camera

You can choose to meet us in Salisbury at the train station at 09.45 or if you are coming by train at 08.00 at Waterloo station in London.
