A Royal Jubilee Hike Runnymede and Windsor Great Park

2022 is a special year and Her Majesty Queen Elizabeth II celebrates her platinum jubilee and becomes the longest reigning monarch in the world.

Join us to celebrate with a Royal Historical Hiking Tour through Runnymede and Windsor Great Park !

During our hike we will learn about the history of the monarchy, its role, get to know the monuments of Runnymede and see where King John signed Magna Carta on 15th June 1215.

In the afternoon we will be walking through Great Windsor Park, and part of the walk is along the 2.5 mile Long Walk with a breathtaking view of the castle.

A guided walk in Windsor. The tour ends with some Royal Brew Tasting at an award winning brewery that has created brews for Royal Weddings, the Diamond Jubilee and the 800th anniversary of Magna Carta.

Distance: 11.7 miles Terrain: A steep hill between Runnymede and Bishopsgate, the rest of the walk is mild often down gentle slopes, 4-5 hours walking time.

What to bring: Hiking boots, snacks, packed lunch, water. Prepare for the weather with waterproof clothing or sunblock.

Lunch: picnic lunch in Great Windsor Park near the Fox and Hounds Pub where you can grab a drink.

The price Includes the hike with a guided walk in Windsor and beer tasting.

The hike is led by an experienced walk leader, Wilderness First Aider and North Downs Way Ambassador, qualified as a Blue Badge Guide to guide in Windsor and accredited to Guide at Windsor Castle, and HML trainee
