Churches, Monasteries & Heresy Tour
On our Churches, Monasteries & Heresy Tour, join us for a lovely walk through the historical City of London, off the beaten track.
You will learn about how religion shaped people’s lives, history and even fashion. During the walk we will visit a medieval church that survived both the Great Fire of London and the Blitz. We will also visit Charter House, a monastery that tried to resist the Reformation when Henry VIII broke with the Catholic church.
You will hear stories of martyrs, heretics burnt at the stake, and people who either reformed or started a new church. You will even find out about Nosy Parker .
